Celebrating Ikebana Together
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community that fosters creativity and appreciation for Ikebana, while providing resources and support for both beginners and experienced artists. We aim to connect individuals through shared experiences and cultural exchange. Our members gain the opportunity to learn about ikebana of many different schools – their inspirations, styles, philosophy, history, and techniques.
Exploring Ikebana Together

What Can You Expect?
Members can expect engaging virtual presentations, cultural programs, and a space to share their creations and insights. Membership, renewable annually, runs from July 1st through June 30th each year for $35.00 (fiscal year 2026-2027). We use the funds to pay for the programming and basic costs for the group. Our community celebrates the beauty of Ikebana while fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation for Japanese culture.
Our Passionate Team
Dedicated to inspiring Ikebana practitioners worldwide.

Analisa Colom-Todd President
With a lifelong study of Ikebana and a desire to honor the legacy of her mother and first sensei Sachiko Colom, Analisa is devoted to showcasing the elegance of this traditional art. As an instructor of the Sogetsu school of Ikebana, her dedication goes beyond conventional methods; she eagerly embraces creative approaches and promotes teamwork among members, cultivating a dynamic exchange of ideas. She has been an Individual Member of Ikebana International for many years, as was her mother for decades. It is with that unique experience that she guides our community with a focus on inclusivity and development.

MaryRose Noto-Hardy 1st VP
It was during an exhibit at Longwood Gardens many years ago that MaryRose first fell in love with the elegance and simplicity of ikebana arrangements. This passion led her to study in the Ichiyo School of Ikebana and ultimately to join Ikebana International.
She has been an active member of I.I. for fourteen years. Over this period, she has displayed arrangements at I.I. exhibits, achieved her instructor’s certification within the Ichiyo School, and served as the president for the Harrisburg Chapter of I.I.

Mable Orndoff 2nd VP
Mable is a member of Ikebana International and a certified instructor of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana. She was also active in Chapter #41 of Ikebana international. For more than thirty years, Mable has studied and practiced Ikebana. She has displayed her work at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History (Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival), the Albuquerque Botanic Garden, the Albuquerque Academy Library, the Albuquerque Art League, and other venues. Her teaching has reached beyond Albuquerque through workshops and demonstrations in Texas, Colorado, and across New Mexico. Today, she continues to share her programs online. Mable’s love of nature includes orchids and roses as well. She grows both hybrid and species orchids, with a special fondness for Jewel Orchids and their striking leaves. As a rosarian, she tends her roses with the same artistry and care she brings to Ikebana.

Evelyn Otsuka-Davis Secretary
Perhaps due to her Japanese heritage, Evelyn is drawn to simplicity and beauty in nature, which is why she loves ikebana. Ikebana is her refuge and, at times, her therapy. She is excited to have a role in establishing an ikebana organization that inspires growth in techniques, self-expression, and cultural appreciation.

Beatriz Ades Treasurer
Born in São Paulo and shaped by global experiences, Bia Ades blends Brazilian warmth, European elegance, and American creativity. An interior designer turned Ikebana Sensei, she follows the Hijiri Ikenobo path — not to enforce rules, but to inspire freedom. Her arrangements invite reflection, proving that beauty lives in every pause.
